Home Baker and Lover of Food: Teri Maisonneuve
Hi! My name is Teri Maisonneuve!
I am a local cottage baker located in Decatur, Indiana specializing in handcrafted French Macarons featuring fun and unique flavors.
I first started my own adventures in food about 15 years ago when I sat in front of the television with my grandfather watching every cooking show that came on. My grandfather and I started a very innovative cooking relationship; he would go out to the grocery and buy ingredients, I would cook whatever out-of-the-box recipe I thought of, and we would both enjoy a meal together.
Since then, I have continued to read, watch and consume any piece of cooking or baking information that catches my attention and try every day to improve my skills.
Why French Macarons?
When I first started baking, I had just begun working with bread and pasta. Upon reading and hearing from several sources in my bread research, macarons were difficult...one of the most difficult pastries to perfect. I wanted to challenge myself and thought they were the perfect vessel for so many fun and different flavor combinations!
Oh, I had to try...and try and try and try again!
Because in truth, I was dedicated to getting it right, but it would take me nearly 5 years to learn from all the mistakes (and there were many). And although I am still learning with every batch I make, I am so happy with my progress!
Whether it be a box of macarons, loaves of bread, or pans of cinnamon rolls, I will always pour my heart into everything I bake and prepare
It is more than just a hobby to me, it is a passion and a deep love

While I may venture north and attend Fort Wayne Artisan/Farmer's markets in the future, for now I am staying local and participating in markets in my immediate area.
I love working with local shops in Decatur and the surrounding areas during the holiday season and for special POP-UP markets!
What makes these special events even more fun is that I will usually do
unique and exclusive macaron flavors just for that event!
I just started selling my macarons publicly around August, 2024 at the Decatur Artisan Craft Market at the Riverside Center. That particular market is on-going from the months of Oct-Apr on the Second Saturday of every month from 9am-2pm.
